138 million daily active users in the third quarter

In its October 29 shareholder letter, Roblox reported 138 million daily active users for the third quarter of 2026. Investing.com’s Russian-language analysis confirms that figure and approximately 34 billion hours on the platform. These are quarterly platform-wide metrics; they do not describe the audience of an individual game or advertising campaign. Revenue reached approximately $1.57 billion, while bookings were approximately $1.70 billion, down 12% year over year. For the fourth quarter, the company forecasts bookings of $1.89–2.00 billion. This forecast remains a company expectation. These aggregate figures are insufficient to evaluate a particular activation: its own audience and player-behavior metrics are needed.

Why it matters

Editorial view: platform scale helps size the market, while project results require separate measurement.

The Cat in the Hat enters familiar games

On October 26, The Well Played Awards published a case study of Warner Bros.’ The Cat in the Hat integration on Roblox. The campaign with Sawhorse runs from October 19 to November 8 in +1 Speed Keyboard Escape, +1 Kitten Keyboard Escape, and Dreamville. An earlier Cinevista article confirms the dates, partner, and selection of three games. Players interact with the Cat and themed quests, with rewards including limited avatar items. Six movie-inspired items are advertised, including the Thing Box, Glitter Trumpet, and Hat Cannon Launcher. The mechanic uses a familiar game environment and adds a reason to return. The compared sources do not provide data that reliably attributes incremental visits or ticket sales to the campaign.

Why it matters

Editorial view: an existing game audience is a distribution channel; its lifetime visits should not be counted as campaign reach.

Warner Bros. and Sawhorse brought The Cat in the Hat to three Roblox games. The October 19–November 8 campaign uses quests and six themed items. Lifetime game visits do not equal campaign reach. https://wellplayedawards.com/games/the-cat-in-the-hat-roblox-takeover-for-warner-bros

BATCH Take

Agree on measurement before launch

The issue’s two reports describe different levels: earnings show Roblox’s scale, while The Cat in the Hat integration shows a way to enter existing games. These observations cannot establish the effectiveness of an individual campaign. Our advice: agree on the measurement window and separate activation-entry, quest-completion, and return metrics before launch. Then compare them with a baseline. This is an editorial recommendation based on the case, not a published Warner Bros. result.

Why it matters

Practical step: include metric definitions and data access in the activation brief.

Short post

BATCH Take: before a Roblox activation launches, agree on the measurement window, quest entries, completions and returns. Platform audience does not measure an individual campaign’s results. Basis: https://wellplayedawards.com/games/the-cat-in-the-hat-roblox-takeover-for-warner-bros
